EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys China . -- Minnesota Vikings tight end Kyle Rudolph will miss at least the next month with a fractured left foot. Vikings coach Leslie Frazier gave the update Monday, one day after Rudolph was injured in a 27-23 loss to the Dallas Cowboys. Rudolph could miss as many as six weeks while recovering, a tough blow to the Vikings offence. He is one of quarterback Christian Ponders favourite targets. Rudolph was injured in the third quarter on a 31-yard touchdown reception. He has 30 catches for 313 yards and three touchdowns this season. The injury likely means more time for backup tight end John Carlson, a big-money free agent signing two years ago that hasnt panned out. Carlson has 19 catches for 104 yards in 22 games for the Vikings. Len Dawson Jersey . Marcus Olsson, 23, joins Blackburn on a free transfer from Swedens Halmstads. He made 139 appearances and scored 17 goals in his four years with the club. He earned his first caps for Sweden this month, featuring against Bahrain and Qatar. Cheap Kansas City Chiefs Jerseys . Edwin Encarnacion carried the torch for two days at Fenway Park this week; Melky Cabrera and Jose Bautista have had their moments; lately Anthony Gose has contributed. http://www.cheapchiefsjerseysauthentic.com/?tag=authentic-marcus-allen-jersey . - The fiancee of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez is set to ask a judge to throw out allegations that she lied to a grand jury.BOSTON -- Edwin Encarnacion continued his torrid run through May, which is only two-thirds over. Encarnacion hit a pair of two-run homers for Toronto as the Blue Jays took a big lead early and held on to beat the slumping Boston Red Sox 7-4 on Tuesday night. Encarnacion has hit nine of his 11 homers this season this month, which has 10 days left. "He is pretty good," Toronto manager John Gibbons said. "But even last year I think he got off to a slow start somewhat. Its not going to hold him down. Its usually just a matter of time." Melky Cabrera and Erik Kratz also homered for the Blue Jays, who won for the sixth time in eight games and extended Bostons losing streak to five straight. J.A. Happ (3-1) struck out six in the first three innings and picked up his third win in four starts since joining the rotation. "I felt like it was going to be a good night," Happ said. "I was trying to attack the zone and I felt my location was good." Jonny Gomes hit a two-run homer for Boston. The losing streak is the longest for the Red Sox since 2012. Casey Janssen picked up his fourth save, with a rocky ninth inning. Dustin Pedroia and Shane Victorino led off the ninth with consecutive singles. David Ortiz nearly tied it with a long fly ball that drifted foul, and then struck out. Janssen got Mike Napoli to ground into a double play to end it. "If you get to the ninth inning with the lead and youve got your closer in there, youve just got to let it ride. You try to get to that point and the games on the line," Gibbons said. Encarnacion hit a two-run homer in the third and Kratz added a solo shot in the fourth off Felix Doubront (2-4), who left the game after Jose Reyes and Cabrera opened the fifth with back-to-back doubles. The Red Sox said Doubront complained of fatigue in his left shoulder. "This is the first night hes felt this to this extent. His stuff was diminishing even in the early innings, particularly between the fourth and fifth," Boston manager John Farrell said. Edward Muujica replaced Doubront and struck out Jose Bautista, but Encarnacion followed with a towering shot to left for his second two-run homer of the night and Toronto led 6-0. Juan Thornhill Jersey. Boston scored twice in the fifth, and then Cabrera added a solo shot to left in the sixth. Happ started the sixth but was pulled after Gomes two-run homer cut Torontos lead to 7-4. He allowed four runs on seven hits and struck out six. Napoli led off the sixth with a single and Gomes followed with a homer that bounced off the top of the Green Monster. Crew chief Gary Cederstrom needed only about 30 seconds to review the video before confirming it was a home run, pulling Boston within 7-4. Boston is on its longest skid since losing the last eight games of the 2012 season. The Red Sox were 3 for 14 with runners in scoring position and left nine on base. "Were in a little rut right now but well find a way to get out of it," Pedroia said. Boston loaded the bases with one out in the fourth, but third baseman Brett Lawrie helped get Happ out of the jam. Lawrie lunged at a line drive by Xander Bogaerts that was headed for left field. The ball bounced out of his glove when he landed, but Lawrie quickly grabbed it, tagged third for the force out and threw it to Kratz to double-up David Ortiz at the plate. "Lawrie made an unbelievable play," Happ said. "I dont know if anybody else makes that play. Really athletic. That was huge." Doubront allowed five runs on five hits, striking out two and walking three. Notes: Toronto RHP Drew Hutchison (2-3) is scheduled to face Boston right-hander Clay Buchholz (2-3). ... Encarnacion hit multiple homers for the third time this season and 14th in his career. ... Red Sox manager John Farrell said before the game that Boston had re-signed veteran SS Stephen Drew, a member of last years World Series championship club who turned down a $14.1 million offer from Boston and become a free agent. ... TORONTO - As over 20,000 shell-shocked Raptors fans finally exhaled, juggling their emotions after a bizarre evening at the Air Canada Centre, Dwane Casey laced into his team in a nearby locker room. Throwback Wizards Jerseys . His post-game pep talk will "remain in-house", which usually means it was R-rated in nature. Did this feel like a win, Amir Johnson was asked after it was all said and done. "Of course," he exclaimed, taking issue with the question. "What? Yes! Did I check the box score wrong? We definitely won." "Does it feel like a win? What?" The box score read 115-113, a pivotal win for the Raptors, who took a 3-2 series lead Wednesday and now sit on the cusp of advancing to the Conference Semifinals, but you wouldnt know if from taking in the head coachs post-game discourse. "You wouldnt want to hear it," Casey said, asked about his emotions as his team squandered a 26-point lead in allowing the Nets to score 44 during a fourth-quarter collapse that was very nearly fatal. "We just didnt play smart. They are a very veteran team, they are going to take advantage of the mistakes you make. We wrote the book on the mistakes in the fourth quarter." "Every mistake that you could think about, we made in the fourth quarter." Just about. The Raptors lead was 22 going into the final frame before their previously spotless performance began to unravel in a hurry. With a lineup of Deron Williams, Joe Johnson and reserves Andray Blatche, Mirza Teletovic and Alan Anderson for all but eight seconds in the quarter, the Nets hit 13 of their 21 shots, including five of nine attempts from three-point range. They got into the paint and to the line at will, putting on a clinic offensively. Veterans Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett did not play a second. With just over three minutes remaining, Torontos nightmare became reality. The sellout crowd that had rocked the building all night, the mob of white-shirted Raptor zealots that shouted "Broooook-lyn" minutes earlier - mimicking a chant made famous at Nets home games - they went dead silent. The Nets Johnson drained a three to tie the game and Toronto was on the ropes. Visions of their franchise-worst 27-point collapse in a December loss to Golden State flashed through everyones mind. Infamous Raptors losses of the oh-so-painful past, the beloved Maple Leafs and their tragic Game 7 demise. The city has seen it all. So how would this team let them down? Toronto led by five with nine seconds left, a semi-comfortable scenario provided they refrain from doing something uncommonly foolish. Just dont give up a three or commit a foul. Naturally, they did both. As Williams swung the ball to Anderson in the corner, the Raptors Johnson lunged at him, committing his sixth foul and surrendering the rare four-point play, Brooklyns second of the quarter. With six second to go, the Raptors now up by three, Casey opted to play it safe and send Blatche to the line for two shots. The right call. Intentionally missing the second free throw, Blatche was able to secure his own rebound before letting the Raptors off the hook in tossing the ball away. "We cant live that way," said an irate Casey after the game. "We cant make this many mental mistakes." Buzzer sounds and the Raptors win. The Raptors win? They had mucked it up in just about every way you could imagine, like a greatest hits of Raptor blunders, but they pulled it out. If that seems out of character with what weve come to expect from this franchise, so be it. Isnt that just the perfect representation of a season, an improbably playoff run that defies all semblance of logic? "We made some boneheaded mistakes," Johnson admitted, "but we finished off the game and thats all that really matters." This is a different team producing different results and a point guard who has a lot to do with that change in fortune. "Honestly, hes a hell of player, man," DeMar DeRozan said of Kyle Lowry, who scored 36 points, a playoff career-high, also matching the most hes ever scored in an NBA game. "Hes just a dog. He makes you want to bring your A-game every single night because you know hes going to lay it out there with them." With DeRozan blanketed by multiple defenders all night, Lowry took over. Tied with a minute left, Lowry hit the biggest shot of the night, a step-back three-pointer, followed by another dagger from inside the paint on the subsequent possession. "Sometimes it calls for that situation," said the point guard. "Usually its [DeRozan] doing that but tonight the way they played him it gave me an opportunity to get to the basket and get some shots off down the stretch. Our teammates count on me and him to make the right decisions, make the big plays and tonight it was fortunate enough they were guarding him tightly and I got it going a little bit." Lowry wouldnt let his team lose, willing them to their most important victory of the campaign, and no one seems the least bit surprised, nor should they. "Every time hes out there on the floor Im going to give it my best effort," DeRozan added, "because I know hes going to do the same." "We know theres not going to be no big blowouts either way because both teams are going to fight until the end," he continued. "It just shows you how much weve matured over the season and understanding what we have to do to stay in games and closeout games." DeRozan became the first Raptors player to reach the 20-point plateau in four straight playoff games since Vince Carter in 2001, scoring 23 on Wednesday thanks in large part to another impressive showing from the free throw line, where he was 12-for-13. For the first time in nearly 13 years that Raptors have taken the advantage in a playoff series, now they look to close it out in Brooklyn on Friday. "Were happy we won today but weve got to do a better job Friday," said Jonas Valanciunas, who had 16 points and six rebounds Wednesday. "Were here, were excited about being in the playofffs, somewhere we havent been before, a young team, expecting mistakes," Casey said. "Weve got to crack the whip and learn from it. This is a hell of a time to start learning, going into Game 6 of the playoffs." Jason Smith Jersey . Maximilian Arnold put Wolfsburg ahead in the eighth minute, when the stationary Fallou Diagne allowed him to guide Patrick Ochs cross beyond the helpless Freiburg goalkeeper, and Ivica Olic doubled the lead three minutes later after Luiz Gustavo did well to set him up.MINNEAPOLIS – The Blue Jays won their second game in a row, thumping the Twins 9-3 on Tuesday night but, like Sundays victory over the Orioles, the win came with a cost. Adam Lind, who has a history of lower back problems although none recently, was lifted for pinch hitter Josh Thole in the seventh inning after his back tightened on him. It happened, Lind said, in the fourth inning, although he stayed in the game as the designated hitter and singled and scored in the sixth. "I was just running to second base after my walk and it grabbed," said Lind. Lind missed time in 2011 and 2012 with back trouble before embarking on an offseason yoga regimen, meant to loosen his muscles and improve his flexibility, prior to 2013. Lind avoided the disabled list last season, a stated goal of his when he arrived to spring training. He continued to do yoga this past offseason and enjoys it so much he intends to continue practicing beyond his playing days. "I hope I feel better (Wednesday,) that would be a miracle," said Lind. Then, continuing the optimistic trend, he hoped Mother Nature would send some luck his way. Wednesdays wintry forecast suggests the second game of the series could be postponed, creating a doubleheader on Thursday. "Well hopefullyy it snows, for me, so that way I dont have to … its a day off for everybody," said Lind. John Wall Jersey. Linds noticeable limp, his difficulty bending over to put on his shoes, his tone of voice and the look on his face belied his attempt to be positive. Hes been down this road before and admitted hes been playing with pain for the last four days. Before Sundays series finale in Baltimore, Lind was the first baseman in manager John Gibbons original lineup. By game time, Lind was the designated hitter, replaced by Edwin Encarnacion at first base. Lind wouldnt speculate on his status when asked whether hes recovered quickly in previous similar instances. "Im going to do whatever the trainers want me to do and hopefully in a couple of days Ill be fine," he said. If Lind is lost for any extended period of time, it would be a blow to the Blue Jays. Hes a key part of the middle of the lineup against right-handed starting pitching and is off to a hot start, hitting .324/.465/.500 with one home run, six RBI and nine walks. The Blue Jays lost infielder Maicer Izturis, likely for the season, in Sundays 11-3 against the Orioles. He suffered a complete tear of the lateral collateral ligament in his left knee when he slipped on the dugout steps. Yet somehow, they rallied. The Mets suddenly struck for three runs in the ninth inning against Philadelphias makeshift bullpen minus closer Jonathan Papelbon, then ended a five-game skid by beating the Phillies 5-4 Sunday on Ruben Tejadas single in the 11th. "Desperate? You can call it desperate if you want to, but we have to stay positive," Mets manager Terry Collins said. "I dont know, standing on the edge of the cliff probably is a better way to describe it." Down 4-1 with only three outs left, the punchless Mets fought back, sparked by Daniel Murphys two-run homer. Phillies manager Ryne Sandberg said Papelbon was sore and unavailable to pitch in a third straight game. "The daily grind of the season," Papelbon said. "Its just kind of a product of the last couple of games." Lefty reliever Antonio Bastardo and Roberto Hernandez -- who started Friday night -- quickly let the Phillies lead slip away. In the 11th, Chris Young opened with an infield single, barely beating the flip from second baseman Chase Utleys glove. The Mets sent up pitcher Zack Wheeler as a pinch-hitter, and he put down a perfect sacrifice bunt that moved Young to second. Juan Lagares drew an intentional walk and Anthony Recker loaded with the bases with another infield hit stopped by diving third baseman Reid Brignac. Tejada won it with one out, hitting a sharp single to left-centre against Jeff Manship (1-1). Tejadas teammates chased him down in short right field to celebrate. "It feels pretty good after a rough week for me and the team," said Tejada, who recently lost his starting job at shortstop. Scott Rice (1-1) got Brignac on a grounder with two runners on to finish the 11th. Held to a total of nine runs in their previous five games, the Mets began their comeback in the ninth when Eric Young Jr. led off with a double and Murphy followed with a home run that made it 4-3. Chris Young ended his 0-for-18 slump by hitting a one-out double off the wall, and Hernandez emerged from the bullpen -- he threw 99 pitches in the series opener. Pinch-hitter Bobby Abreu sinngled off the glove of a diving Utley, and a slow grounder by Lagares drove in the tying run. Isaac Bonga Jersey. . When Tejada came up in the 11th, he said he had one thought in mind: "Finish the game." The Mets comeback denied Cole Hamels his elusive first win of the year and the 100th of his career. He struck out 10 in seven innings while throwing a whopping 133 pitches, the most by any major leaguer since San Franciscos Tim Lincecum tossed 148 in his no-hitter last July 13. The Mets started quickly when Young Jr. led off with a single and stole second, Murphy walked and David Wright hit an RBI single. Lefty-hitting Curtis Granderson didnt start vs. Hamels, but Collins said the outfielder would be in the lineup Monday night. It will be Grandersons first game in the Bronx since leaving the Yankees in the off-season, signing with the Mets and saying: "A lot of the people Ive met in New York have always said that true New Yorkers are Mets fans." ... Several players swung pink bats on Mothers Day to support the fight against breast cancer. In keeping with the days theme, Mets reliever Carlos Torres asked the team to play the hip-hop song "Dear Mama" by the late Tupac Shakur over the PA system if he got into the game Sunday. Torres didnt pitch. ... It was Bark at the Park Day to support pet rescue and adoption. Many fans brought their dogs for a pregame parade around the warning track. Not barking was longtime Mets hot dog vendor Willie B, popular for his loud woofing in the second deck. He said his back was hurting, so he was carrying a lighter tray of pretzels. NEW YORK -- Former baseball pitcher Roger Clemens and his onetime strength coach came face-to-face on Tuesday in a bid to settle their long-running legal dispute, but they emerged from a closed-door meeting without a deal. Cheap Cincinnati Bengals Jerseys . A judge had summoned Clemens and Brian McNamee to federal court in Brooklyn for settlement talks aimed at heading off a trial in the defamation case. McNamees lawyer emerged saying an agreement wasnt likely. "I think this is a case where the lines are deeply drawn in the sand," said attorney Richard Emery. "I certainly expect theres going to be a trial in this case." It was the first time Clemens and McNamee had been in a private setting opposite each other at a conference table since at least 2007, Emery said. His client, he added, has struggled in recent years with health and financial problems. Clemens and his attorneys left the courthouse on Tuesday without speaking to reporters. U.S. Magistrate Cheryl Pollak ruled previously that Clemens has to turn over thousands of emails and other documents to McNamee. She agreed on Tuesday to examine the material to determine whether or not it was protected by lawyer-client privilege, as Clemens lawyers contend. Another hearing was set for June 10. McNamees 2009 federal lawsuit, which seeks unspecified damages, alleges Clemens launched an "intense and co-ordinated public relations offensive" against McNamee after the trainer told federal investigators and Congress that he injected Clemens more than a dozen times with steroids and human growth hormone from 1998 through 2001. The suit quotes Clemens saying in a YouTube video in 2007 that McNamee "did not inject steroids into my body either when I played in Toronto for the Blue Jays or the New York Yankees." It also cites an interview with ESPN in May in which Clemens, when asked about McNamee, responded that it was a case of "somebody out there that is really crawling up your back to make a buck." In 2012, a Washington jury found Clemens not guilty of lying to Congress about steroids and human growth hormone. He had adamantly denied using either substance at a 2008 congressional hearing. The prosecutions case relied heavily on the testimony of McNamee, who told jurors he injected Clemens with steroids and HGH many times. Clemens is a seven-time Cy Young Award winner who also pitched for the Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros. Cheap Bengals Jerseys . Red Sox outfielder Jonny Gomes, the bandleader of the beard brigade during Bostons run to the 2013 World Series title, said he will be shaving his off before spring training so that he can file it "in the archive" with his memories of the teams improbable championship. AUBURN HILLS, Mich. -- Samuel Dalembert had more offensive rebounds than Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe and Josh Smith combined. That was probably the most telling stat from Saturdays game, which Dalemberts Dallas Mavericks won 113-102 over a Detroit team hurt throughout the night by Drummonds foul trouble. Dirk Nowitzki scored 24 points and Vince Carter added 18 for Dallas. "If youre able to get them in foul trouble early, they kind of slow things down a little bit and become less aggressive," Dalembert said. "We knew what we were getting into, and we were ready for the fight." Dallas had surprising success on the boards against Detroits imposing front line. The Mavericks finished with 16 offensive rebounds. The Pistons, who came in as the NBAs top team in that department, had only nine. Drummond finished with only eight points and three rebounds in just under 20 minutes of action. "When you get in foul trouble, it changes your aggression, but it also keeps you from ever getting in the flow of the game," Detroit interim coach John Loyer said. "Andre is a guy who is normally always into the flow, but he wasnt able to do that tonight, whether because of the fouls or something else. I know hell be in the gym tomorrow making sure it doesnt happen again." Smith kept the Pistons in the game for a while and finished with 32 points, his most since signing with Detroit last off-season. Monta Ellis had 12 points and 13 assists for the Mavericks. Dallas leads ninth-place Memphis by two games in the Western Conference playoff race. The Pistons, meanwhile, fell 3 1/2 games behind Atlanta for the final playoff spot in the East. Dallas led by 13 in the third quarter, and after the Pistons closed within four in the fourth, Nowitzki connected from beyond the arc to give the Mavericks a 96-89 lead. Dallas was able to keep Detroit at arms length after that. "We did a pretty good job of not letting them geet too much momentum," Dallas coach Rick Carlisle said. Cheap Bengals Jerseys China. "When you let them get momentum and get in transition they convert quick, they can hit 3s, they throw lobs, and then it turns into a circus." The Pistons did have 24 fast-break points, but they went 2 of 11 from 3-point range. Detroits Brandon Jennings had only two points and three assists on 1-of-7 shooting, and for a second straight night, the Pistons went mostly with Will Bynum at point guard with the game on the line. Bynum had 17 points and eight assists. "We played a tough team tonight, and they beat us," Bynum said. "We had the energy in spurts tonight, but weve got to have that for 48 minutes and we arent doing that." Ellis scored 10 points in the fourth quarter, and the Mavericks benefited from Drummonds absence throughout the game. Greg Monroe had 17 points and 17 rebounds for the Pistons, but he had little help on the boards. Smith, for all his scoring, finished with only three rebounds, and he didnt score a point in the final period. Dallas had six players in double figures. Dalembert had 12 points and 11 rebounds -- six at the offensive end. Jose Calderon added 11 points and Shawn Marion scored 10. The Mavericks had 31 assists, one night after reaching a season-high 39 in a win at Philadelphia. Ellis had 11 assists in the first half against the Pistons, and Dallas led 64-54 at halftime. Smith -- who had 24 points on 11-of-13 shooting in the half -- kept Detroit from a bigger deficit. The Pistons were only down 39-36 when Drummond picked up his third foul with 9:03 left in the second quarter. The Mavericks slowly extended the margin after that. SAN DIEGO -- A front-office shakeup had no impact on the San Diego Padres performance. Cheap MLB Jerseys Authentic . After the team announced general manager Josh Byrnes was fired minutes before the first pitch with the Los Angeles Dodgers on Sunday, the Padres put up another punchless performance in a 2-1 loss against Hyun-Jin Ryu. Although Padres President and CEO Mike Dee said there were a number of factors that figured into the firing, Padres Executive Chairman Ron Fowler made it clear that the ownership group was not happy with the product on the field. "When you invest 50 per cent more money over the last two years, in terms of payroll, you expect better performance," Fowler said. "We gave baseball ops a clean slate as far as who did they want, what did they want to do. For my perspective, we are standing here as a consequence of that not working." Byrnes off-season moves included free agent signings of starting pitcher Josh Johnson, who has yet to pitch for San Diego since straining his right forearm in spring training, reliever Joaquin Benoit and outfielder Seth Smith. "We were led to believe, and I think its fair to say we believed, based upon the investment that we made, the additions we made in the off-season, the addition of certain players during the off-season, that would put us over the top," Dee said. "We felt confident that we would be in a position to compete for post-season baseball." Dee added that manager Bud Black has been told that his job is safe at least through the end of the season. Until the club hires a new general manager, senior vice-president for baseball operations Omar Minaya and assistant general managers A.J. Hinch and Fred Uhlman, Jr. will assume the GM duties. Minaya was the general manager of the New York Mets from 2005-10. Byrnes was hired by the Padres as their senior vice-president for baseball operations in December 2010 after he was let go as general manager of the Arizona Diamondbacks, where he was in the middle of an eight-year deal. He was promoted 10 months later to GM and was given a five-year contract. Under Byrnes, the Padres payroll increased nearly $40 million to $89,881,696 on opening this season -- 23rd overall -- but the team has made little progress. After finishing with 76-86 records in his first two seasons, the Padres are 32-43 and 12 1/2 games back in the NL West during an injury-plagued season. Byrnes was touted by the Padres as excelling at scouting and player development, but his biggest moves came through trades. He sent first base prospect Anthony Rizzo to the Cubs for top-line starter Andrew Cashner, and he dealt starting pitcher Mat Latos for infielder Yasmani Grandal, catcher Yonder Alonso, and right-handers Edinson Volquez and Brad Boxberger. Byrnes also acquired starter Tyson Ross, closer Huston Street, outfielder Carlos Quentin and right-hander Ian Kennedy. Ryu (9-3) had few problems against the light-hitting Padres, as he won for the sixth time in seven starts since missing more than three weeks with shoulder inflammation. The left-handed Ryu gave up one runs and four hits in six innings, and he did not allow San Diego to get its first hit until the fourth inning. The Dodgers, winners of 10 of 14, took two of three games in the series and have either won or split their last 11 series in San Diego. The last time they lost a series in San Diego was a three-game sweep in September 2010. Adrian Gonzalez and Dee Gordon drove in runs against Eric Stults (2-10). J.P. Howell pitched 1 1-3 perfect innings and Brian Wilson got two outs before Kenley Jansen finished off the four-hitter by pitching the ninth for his 22nd save in 25 chances. NOTES: Dodgers LF Matt Kemp extended his hitting streak to 10 games, while Ramirez increased his to nine games. ... San Diego has scored 23 runs in Stults 16 starts. ... Padres 3B Chase Headley (back) missed his fourth straight game. ... Dodgers RHP Zack Greinke (9-3, 2.57 ERA) faces Royals RP Jeremy Guthrie (4-6, 3.86) Monday in the opener of a three-game series at Kansas City. The Padres travel to San Francisco on Monday with RHP Andrew Cashner (2-6, 2.36) squaring off against Matt Cain (1-3, 3.66). Cheap Rangers Jerseys China . Toronto announced the deal with the restricted free agent on Saturday. The terms were not disclosed.TORONTO -- When Jonathan Bernier came out of his net and collided with Pittsburgh Penguins forward Jayson Megna, the Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender didnt think much of it. That is, until the next day. "I woke up and it felt pretty bad," Bernier said. The lower-body injury forced Bernier off the ice for two days earlier this week and cost him a planned start Thursday night. But he and Toronto coach Randy Carlyle are optimistic hell be able to play Saturday night when the Detroit Red Wings visit Air Canada Centre. "He is much better today and I would deem that hes probably available to us," Carlyle said Friday. "But well make that assessment (Saturday) morning after todays treatment and how he feels after today." Bernier said he was "pretty confident" hed be able to suit up but will wait until after the morning skate to ddecide. Cheap Texas Rangers Jerseys. Carlyle didnt think it was "fair" to put Bernier in net Thursday against the Phoenix Coyotes while he was "nursing an ailment," so Reimer got the call and won in a shootout. Bernier was able to serve as the backup. Given how well Reimer played versus Phoenix, making 34 saves and a couple more in the shootout, it probably wont matter if Bernier is healthy enough to start. More than likely Reimer will make his third straight start. Reimer could go on a run of starts if the victories continue, but that doesnt mean Berniers presence isnt a source of motivation. "You have to be at your best every day," Reimer said. "You always want to go out there and be your best and want to win games and give the boys a chance. ENGLEWOOD, Colo. Stephen Strasburg Jersey . - The physical scar serves as Rahim Moores motivation. So, too, the emotional one.But the Broncos free safety doesnt want to ponder either one this weekend in his first playoff game since his infamous gaffe two years ago, which led to a franchise-jolting, double-overtime loss to Baltimore.Moore missed Denvers drive to the Super Bowl last year after a rare muscle condition cut short his eye-catching comeback at midseason and sent him to the hospital where surgeons saved his left leg. When he returned to the practice field this spring, sporting a 13-inch scar that serpentines down his left calf, he cried.Moore doesnt expect the tears to flow when the Broncos (12-4) face the Indianapolis Colts (12-5) on Sunday, one day shy of the two-year anniversary of his blunder against Baltimore and 14 months after his emergency operation.Im not anxious about anything, Moore said, pledging to stay even-keeled until the game clock hits all zeros.Dont dwell on the past, youve got to be futuristic, Moore said. Im going to go out there and do what Ive been doing all year. What he did was have another solid season, this time in the shadows of the Broncos three Pro Bowl defensive backs: Aqib Talib, T.J. Ward and Chris Harris Jr.In the hushed locker room following his ball-through-Buckners-legs moment against Baltimore, Moore promised next time to make the play and make up for his mistake — going for the ball instead of the tackle at the 30, then mistiming his jump.To do that, he knows he cant let his thirst for redemption get in the way.He said he plans to just go out there and act like its a normal game, still keep the same preparations, still get after it, still work hard, dont try to say, Oh, you have this bad taste in your mouth. No, just go out there and make a play. When you make a play, all that stuff is over.In Andrew Luck, Moore will be facing another quarterback who can sling it just like Joe Flacco did when he hit Jacoby Jones for that 70-yard TD in the final minute of regulation. Luck also brings mobility and size.Andrew Luck has elite speed and then when you try to tackle him, he may run you over, he may sidestep you, Moore said. Hes tough, too. Hes got good size. Hes one of those guys where you watch him on film, youre like, Man, hes fantastic. But you hope hes not fantastic versus you.Two of Moores four interceptions this season came against Luck in the opener, which Denver won 31-24 after going up 24-0 at halftime and 31-10 in the fourth quarter.Moore also collected 50 tackles this season, broke up five passes, forced two fumbles and recovered one.Hes done a tremendous job, coach John Fox said. You bring up (his bouncing back) from that particular play, it speaks a lot for the kind of young man and human being he is as well as a football player. Hes played good football for us. Hes had a very good season. Hes a big reason why were where we are defensively.According to the advanced statistics of Pro Football Focus, Moore had one of the best seasons of any safety in the NFL, leading the league in coverage snaps (688) and cover snaps per target (31.1) and ranking third in yards per cover snap (0.27) and cover snaps per reception (40.5).So, his pledge to just keep doing what hes doing could prove crucial and might even provide a dollop of redemption.Im not eager. Im not anxious, Moore said. I just want to go out there and have fun and just play as a team. And if we do that, man, I think well be fine.___AP NFL website: www.pro32.ap.org and www.twitter.com/AP_NFL___Follow AP Pro Football Writer Arnie Melendrez Stapleton on Twitter: http://twitter.com/arniestapleton Discount Nationals Jerseys . 1. PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. -- Winnipeg will most likely host a Heritage Classic soon, though NHL commissioner Gary Bettman sought to clarify that it has not been promised to the Jets for the 2015-16 season. The Winnipeg Free Press reported that the Jets will have a future game at Investors Group Field, and that chairman Mark Chipman wants to hold it in 2016. General manager Kevin Cheveldayoff didnt provide any more details than what was in that report. "I think its a very exciting proposition," Cheveldayoff said Tuesday after the NHLs board of governors meeting. "Certainly lots of work probably needs to get done on it. I think its all very preliminary." Bettman struck the same chord, refusing to confirm the 2016 Heritage Classic in Winnipeg and saying the story "seems to hhave taken on a life of its own. "Its still a work of progress, but at some point in the next few years, perhaps 16, perhaps not, well have an outdoor game in Winnipeg." Larisa Yurkiw believed she should compete with the best in the world in the Olympics, and shell get that chance Wednesday in the womens downhill at Rosa Khutor. Dave Keon Jersey . When the best Canadian womens speed racers from the 2010 Winter Olympics soon retired and Yurkiw endured injury woes with after effects that extended into years, official Alpine Canada funding dried up. The dollars were targeted at the emerging women on the team, all technical specialists. Yurkiw poured tens of thousands of her own dollars into a bid to make the Sochi Olympics, and raised more than six figures from private individuals and businesses to back her quest. Racing as an independent under coach Kurt Mayr, Yurkiw earned Tier 1 qualification for Sochi with a pair of top 12 results this season, a seventh-place finish in the season-opening downhill in Lake Louise, Alta., and a sixth place at Altenmarkt, Austria last month. The Owen Sound, Ont., native was aiming to compete at the Vancouver Games but tore up her left knee in a crash in December 2009. Yurkiw didnt participate in a full season again until 2012-13, but didnt crack the top 20 in any races, which put her at a career crossroads at just 25 years of age. In what seemed like another cruel blow after all her hard work, Yurkiw went down in a training run in Sochi last week. But she recovered to post the ninth fastest time in the last training session. The contenders There wont be a repeat Olympic downhill champion as American ski star Lindsey Vonn of the United States underwent knee surgery, but 2010 silver medallist Julia Mancuso and bronze recipient Liz Goergl are competing in Russia. Both are capable of getting back to the podium. Mancuso hasnt enjoyed great World Cup results this season, but now owns four career Olympic medals after earning a bronze in Mondays super-combined. The Hawaiian resident did so on the strength of a downhill that was nearly a half-second faster than the next best skier, Lara Gut of Switzerland. Goergls two World Cup wins this season (one downhill, one super-G) have come in the last month, while Gut, Marianne Kaufmann-Abderhalden of Austria and Slovenias Tina Maze also own downhill wins this season. Maria Hoefl-Riesch, with three, is the only skier with multiple downhill wins this season. The German veteran would have to be considered co-favourite along with Mancuso for the downhill, after winning her third career Olympic gold medal in Mondays super-combined. She is also the overall World Cup points leader. Dominique Gisin of Switzerland hasnt been on the World Cup podium since late 2011, but served notice she could be a factor with a winning training session earlier this week. Anna Wenninger of Austria and Elena Fanchin of Italy are also contender, each having been on the World Cup podium twice in downhill this season, though not yet in the top spot. Tina Weirather under normal circumstances would be considered a strong medal contender after racking up nine World Cup podiums this season, including four in the downhill. But the skier from tiny Liechtenstein, who suffered a serious injury that put her on the sidelines just days before the 2010 Olympics, is uncertain to compete after hurting her leg in a weekend training session. Neals slapshot over Anders Lindbacks right shoulder capped a frantic final 15 minutes of play as the teams traded the lead three times. Evgeni Malkin had two goals and two assists while Sidney Crosby added a goal and two assists for the Penguins, who have won nine straight over the Lightning. Jeff Zatkoff stopped 21 shots and Pittsburgh ended Tampa Bays five-game winning streak. Steven Stamkos, Valtteri Filppula and Ondrej Palat scored for the Lightning, who have recorded at least one point in eight straight games. Lindback made 25 saves but had no chance on Neals 23rd goal of the season. The teams spent two periods playing the kind of conservative hockey more suited for the Stanley Cup playoffs than the wide-open attacking style more fitting for two of the most offensively talented teams in the league. No matter, they made up for it in the third. Stamkos broke a 1-1 tie 8:17 into the final period when he poked a rebound underneath Zatkoffs legs to put the Lightning in front. The lead lasted less than three minutes, as Malkin pounced on a rebound off a Matt Niskanen slapshot into an open net for his third goal in two games. Malkins 23th of the season came with 3:17 left in regulation when he powered a shot by Lindback that seemed to deflate the Lightning. It did, but only momentarily. Palat stunned the 319th consecutive sellout crowd at Consol Energy Center when he cleanly beat Zatkoff to tie the game at 3 with just 1:22 left in regulatiion. Pat Tillman Jersey. Tampa Bay gave the leagues top-ranked power play a chance to end it when the Lightning were called for too many men on the ice 1:11 into overtime. The Penguins needed just 16 seconds to win it as Malkin set up Neal in the forwards favourite spot at the top of the left circle. The puck was a blur as it sailed into the net as Pittsburgh bounced back from a 5-4 overtime loss to Detroit on Thursday when the Red Wings scored on a bounce off a Penguins defenceman with less than a second to go in overtime. The Lightning have been the hottest team in hockey not named the Boston Bruins since Stamkos return from a leg injury last month. Fueled by their star -- and his elevation to captain after Martin St. Louis was traded to the New York Rangers -- Tampa Bay has sprinted to third in the Eastern Conference standings. They certainly looked like one of the conferences elite while trying to end a lengthy bout of futility against Pittsburgh. Tampa Bay clogged the neutral zone and seemed to have the upper hand at times when the teams were playing at full strength. Seven penalties, however, did them in. The Penguins went 3 for 6 on the power play. NOTES: Penguins coach Dan Bylsma said theres a "possibility" goaltender Tomas Vokoun could play before the beginning of the post-season, though it seems unlikely. Not to be outdone, Atletico Madrid bettered its title rivals by demolishing 10-man Getafe 7-0 with Diego Costa returning from injury to score with a brilliant bicycle kick. "It was an almost perfect night," Atletico coach Diego Simeone said.Arlington, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - A chant of Zeke reverberated around AT&T Stadium before Ezekiel Elliott powered into the end zone for his fourth and final touchdown. The Ohio State Buckeyes are back on top. They can thank the inaugural College Football Playoff for that. Elliott ran for 246 yards, totaling over 200 for a third straight game, and Ohio State won its first national championship since 2002 with a 42-20 victory over Oregon in the CFP National Championship Game on Monday night. Im not shy about the love I have about this great state, Ohio State coach Urban Meyer said. To bring a national title to the great state of Ohio, its almost surreal. The Buckeyes snuck into the final four of the CFP committees final rankings on Dec. 7 after not being included in any of their previous unveilings. Their vaulting into the No. 4 spot came a day after Elliott gained 220 yards and two scores in Ohio States 59-0 shutout win over Wisconsin in the Big Ten title game. The Buckeyes then went out and silenced their critics in the Sugar Bowl when Elliott ran for 230 yards and two more touchdowns in their 42-35 win over top- seeded Alabama. Hes one of the best post-contact yard guys Ive ever been around, Meyer said of Elliott. Elliott put the final stamp on the stunning title run Monday night. After the Ducks pulled within a point in the third quarter, Elliott ran for a trio of scores to lift Ohio State to its sixth national championship. We knew that our o-line was bigger and more physical than their d-line, Elliott said. They paved the way for me. The emergence of the sophomore Elliott took the pressure off Cardale Jones, who was making his third career start. Jones, of course, took over at quarterback following the injuries to Braxton Miller and J.T. Barrett. Jones was 16-of-23 for 242 yards with a touchdown and an interception and added 38 yards rushing and a score for Ohio State, which won despite turning the ball over four times. Heisman trophy winner Marcus Mariota was 24-of-37 for 333 yards and two touchdowns to go with a pick for the No. 2 Ducks, who routed Florida State 59-20 in the Rose Bowl to reach the title game. Its tough to go out with a loss, Mariota said. They just out- executed us for a couple more quarters. Mariota also carried the ball 10 times for 39 yards, Byron Marshall caught eight passes for 169 yards and a score and Thomas Tyner ran for 62 yards on 12 totes in defeat. I love this guy and will forever, Oregon coach Mark Helfrich said of Mariota. The impact that hes had on the field is significant, but off the field even bigger. After failing to capitalize on a pair of Ohio State miscues in the first half, the Ducks were able to post 10 points on the Buckeyes first two turnovers of the third quarter. The Buckeyes committed their third turnover on the opening series of the second half. The ball popped off the hands of Jalin Marshall after Ohio State moved the ball into Oregon territory, and an alert Danny Mattingly was there to pick it off. Mariota fired a 70-yard TD pass to a wide-open Byron Marshall on the very next play to trim the gap to 21-17. Elliott darted up the middle for two yards to move the chains on a 4th-and-1, but Jones lost the ball on the next snap when the ball slipped out of his hand as he rolled right. Aidan Schneider hit a 23-yard field goal to whittle the deficit to 21-20 midway through the third quarter. Ohio State, though, responded by pounding the ball with Elliott. He carried it six times for 44 yards on its ensuing touch, finishing off the 12-play sequence with a bruising 9-yard TD run off the left edge to up the Buckeyes marggin to 28-20 on the final play of the third. Wholesale Diamondbacks Jerseys. The Buckeyes defense then forced a three-and-out and Elliott was back at it again. Jones zipped a 19-yard completion to Jalin Marshall over the middle and Elliott barreled in from two yards out to make it 35-20 at the 9:44 mark of the fourth. Joey Bosa drove Mariotas shoulder to the turf on a first down play and the signal caller had to exit for a snap. Jake Fisher was flagged for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty and Tyrell Crosby was whistled for a false start to make matters worse. It was 3rd-and-26 when Mariota re-entered the game and he hit Dwayne Stanford for a pickup of 19 yards, and Helfrich elected to punt. Mariotas 4th-and-11 pass fell incomplete on the Ducks next touch and Elliott powered in from a yard out with 28 ticks on the clock to cap the scoring. Earlier, the Buckeyes put up 21 straight points after Oregon scored a touchdown on its opening drive. Ohio State found the end zone on consecutive possessions late in the first quarter after punting on its initial series. Jones fired a 26-yard strike on a 3rd-and-8 to Corey Smith, then rolled left and tossed another 26-yard completion to Jalin Marshall. Jalin Marshall prolonged the drive when he fought for the first-down marker after going in motion and receiving a pop pass from Jones on a 4th-and-2. Elliott then zoomed through the secondary off the left side of the line for a 33-yard touchdown that tied the game at 7-7. Marshall returned a punt 17 yards to the Oregon 46 and Elliott later barreled to the 1 following a 17-yard run. Jones flipped a 1-yard TD pass to Nick Vannett in the left flat with 1:08 left in the first quarter. After a rolling Jones lofted a 43-yard completion to Devin Smith on a 3rd- and-12 in the second quarter, he snuck in from a yard out three plays later for a 21-7 Buckeyes advantage with 4:49 to go in the half. Schneider nailed a 28-yard field goal in the final minute to get the Ducks within 21-10. The Ducks, who turned the ball over just 10 times during the regular season, had a pair of close calls on their opening drive. Tyner lost the football after dashing through a huge hole off right guard, but it bounced right back to him and he gained 12 yards. Mariota later fumbled when he picked his way for seven yards on a scramble, but a replay showed that his knee was down. Mariota then capped the initial 11-play, 75-yard march when he eluded pressure, stepped up in the pocket and hit Keanon Lowe for a 7-yard score. Oregons first half was defined by miscues. Mariotas first two incompletions were third-down drops and the Ducks were not able to capitalize on a pair of Ohio State fumbles. The aggressive Ducks elected to go for it on a 4th-and-goal from the OSU 3 following a fumbled exchange between Jones and Elliott, but the Buckeyes stuffed Tyner at the 1. Oregon then went three-and-out after recovering a Corey Smith fumble following a 47-yard reception. Game Notes Meyer won his third national title and first with the Buckeyes. He became the second head coach to win national championships at two different schools, joining Nick Saban ... Elliott carried the ball 36 times, averaging 6.8 yards per carry ... The Ducks fell to 0-2 in national championship games. They fell in the 2010 title game to Auburn ... Oregon was without freshman receiver Darren Carrington, who failed an NCAA administered drug test prior to the game ... Ohio State outgained Oregon 538-465 ... The Buckeyes were 8-of-15 on third down, while the Ducks finished 2-of-12. RIO DE JANEIRO, Brazil -- Rafael Nadal is back -- and its all about his back. Cheap Tony Conigliaro Jersey . Top-ranked Nadal injured his back warming up for the final of the Australian Open almost three weeks ago, eventually losing against Stanislas Wawrinka -- a match he was an overwhelming favourite to win. Nadal has practiced little since then, getting treatment at home in Mallorca. His first test comes in next weeks Rio Open, a new stop on the ATP Tour. "Well have to see how it goes," he said Friday. "I hope I can tolerate it." Nadal knows the clock is ticking. He made a comeback last season from a left knee injury, which kept him out of the 2012 London Olympics. Hes won 13 Grand Slams. Hes one behind Pete Sampras, and hes closing in on Roger Federers record of 17. Hes sure one got away in Australia. "In Australia I lost a good opportunity to add another Grand Slam," Nadal said. "It didnt happen. The opportunities are not infinite. They have an expiration date." Nadal has played more than 11 years as a professional, perhaps sustaining some injuries because of his big swings and attacking temperament. "I heard a lot of times in my career that I will have a shorter career because of my style of game," he said. "I really think its something that will not happen. If I stopped today, I already will have more than 11 years on tour." The Spaniard said hes still motivated, positive about the 2014 season. "I cannot predict the future for how long I will be here competing well," he said. "I cant say when thats going to end. The only thing I can say is today I feel happy about what I am doing. I am feeling motivation mentally to keep playing, to keep competing well." Hell be 30 when the 2016 Rio Olympics begin. He called winning gold in the 2008 Beijing Olympics "one of the best experiences" of his career. "It was a very hard moment for me when I made the decision not to play the Olympic Games in London," Nadal said. "After that, I always say my goal is to arrive to the 2016 Olympic Games here in Rio." TORONTO -- Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment boss Tim Leiweke has cleaned house at Toronto FC while hitching his wagon to rookie manager Ryan Nelsen. For anyone wondering, the path at the beleaguered Major League Soccer franchise is now crystal clear -- its Leiwekes way or the highway. And Nelsen is riding shotgun. Gone are president and general manager Kevin Payne, as well as Earl Cochrane, Paynes right-hand man and Torontos director of team and player operations. The future of Pat Onstad, chief scout and manager of football partnerships, seems uncertain. Leiweke said Onstad will not continue in his current position but "may have a role going forward" elsewhere at the 4-12-10 club. But Nelsen stays and Leiweke told a media conference call Thursday that whoever succeeds Payne will have to work with the former New Zealand international as manager. It appears the new GM will also have to get in step with Leiweke and Nelsen on planned high-profile player acquisitions in the January transfer window. "Ryan and I are not only 100 per cent on the same page on this January window and what were looking for, the positions were looking for, we have had very specific conversations about (players)," Leiweke said. Not being in lockstep with the president and CEO of MLSE proved to be Paynes demise. Leiweke, who took over on June 30, said it had become clear that he and Payne had differences. "Philosophically there was no difference of opinion on the four building points (the academy, draft, trading within MLS, and designated players) but there was a difference of opinion on implementation," he said. "And I had to get everybody on the same page. Thus changes." Nelsen apparently ticks the right boxes. "Im comfortable with Ryan. He will be our coach next year," said Leiweke. "Ryan sees the world exactly the way we do." For Nelsen, its an impressive show of survival by a newcomer to MLS -- especially considering that the well-connected Payne has been in the league since its inception. Leiweke, who stressed there was no rift at the club, did not detail his differences with Payne. But it seems clear that Paynes inability to land a marquee talent was a major stumbling block. "Remember we have the hardest part of thing (done). Which is our owners gave us the money (to acquire players)," Leiweke said. The MLSE boss did say he didnt see the sense of having one person chase players and another person attempting to close the deal, which seemed to be the way Onstad and Payne operated. And Leiweke is a closer. He was active in bringing David Beckham and Robbie Keane to the Los Angeles Galaxy while he ran AEG. For the fans, its yet another changing of the guard at a floundering franchise that seems in a never-ending state of flux. Nelsen is the teams eighth manager in seven years. The team has never progressed to the playoffs and sports a woeful all-time league record of 49-100-65. Payne and Nelsen inherited a horror show. Toronto (5-21-8) posted franchise worsts in 2012 for wins (five), losses (21), points (23), goals against (62) and winless string (14). Privately they were shocked at the state of the teams salary cap, which was squeezed by bloated, ill-conceived contracts. Payne took a scalpel to the cap, shedding players while dealing to acquire allocation money to increase their resources. "I have nothing but good things to say about Kevin," Leiweke said. "He did a yeomans job here on cleaning up bad contracts and giving us a chance to build going forward without some of the heavy burden and the lack of cap space that weve been dealing with for a while here." The dismal showing in 2012 prompted MLSE to roll back 2013 season-ticket prices to that of the clubs inaugural year in 2007. After another season of failure, Leiweke says season-ticket holders wont have to commit to their tickets until Januuary -- instead of later this month -- so they can make up their mind on the teams moves. Cheap Bobby Doerr Jersey. "By then we will either have done what we have to do and they will hold us accountable and say I like what you did, Im in. Or if we fail here, were going to have a mass exodus," Leiweke said. "And we get it. Were OK with that, all of us. "We will put our feet to the fire here ... We better do a good job because I dont think a marketing campaign is going to cut it this time." He said he didnt know what decision had been made on whether ticket prices will be raised for next season. The search for a new GM has begun with Leiweke saying his preference was for someone who knows the league, its teams, CBA and salary cap intricacies -- ironically all strengths of Payne. "Yes theyve got to inherit our decision on Ryan but we also cleaned out some other situations here so that they can have a clean slate and put their own staff together," said Leiweke. "And we will expect them to do that. "And I dont want to be the GM. We dont have time for that. We will be involved on the DP." An MLSE spokesman said after the conference call that the organization is looking for a GM for the soccer club rather than a president/GM like Payne. The search for a DP will include Italy, he said when asked about Torontos sizable Italian population. Toronto currently has two designated players: Argentine midfielder Matias Laba and Dutch forward Danny Koevermans, whose contract expires at the end of the season. Leiweke says the club is figuring out how to fill the holes in its roster, with funds and cap space available to go after two "marquee" designated players in January. "We do believe that we could be looking at a team next year that like Montreal, like Vancouver and like Portland, can be competitive," he said, citing the last three expansion teams to join the league. "Were not waiting for January," he added. "We will be over in Europe soon and we already have had conversations with teams and agents so we understand whats out there, who we want and how they fit into the rest of Ryans team." It is possible the team may make a deal with a player during the January window to join Toronto after the summer World Cup. "This is about finding the right players, for our team and our coach." Leiweke shot down any suggestion that he and Nelsen were on a different page in terms of the timing of signing a star player. Nelsen had said he wanted to have the right supporting cast in place before pulling the DP trigger, a view Leiweke did not share. "There is zero disagreement on nows the time," Leiweke said when asked about it. Leiweke had also said he wanted to wait until the end of the season to evaluate his soccer team. Toronto has eight games remaining, starting Saturday in Portland. He attributed making the decision ahead of time to the fact that "critical decisions" on the future of the club had to be made sooner rather than later. He also said he wanted Paynes replacement to have as much time as possible ahead of the January window. Whether Payne was aware the writing was on the wall is unknown. But Leiweke said he knew "in the last few weeks" that change was needed. Leiweke apparently used that time to pick Nelsens brain and plan ahead. Payne was appointed in late November, with the longtime D.C. United executive seen as the soccer man long needed to right the ship. Toronto has won just four league games since, with 25 new players coming through the door and 25 exiting since the end of last season. Leiweke has now axed two presidents at MLSE, having parted ways with Raptors boss Bryan Colangelo earlier this summer "This one was the hardest one so far, simply because not only was Kevin fairly new here but Kevin and I go back a long way," Leiweke. MANHATTAN, Kan. Buccaneers Jerseys Authentic China . -- Marcus Foster scored 17 points, Nino Williams made two free throws with 5.7 seconds left and Kansas State held off No. 6 Oklahoma State 74-71 on Saturday in the Big 12 opener for both teams. Williams finished with 15 points, none bigger than his two free throws that gave the Wildcats (11-3, 1-0) a three-point lead. Marcus Smart of the Cowboys raced up court and threw up a running 3-point try as the final buzzer sounded, but it clanked harmlessly off the rim and fell to the court. Thomas Gipson added 10 points and 11 rebounds for Kansas State, which has won nine straight after losing to the likes of Northern Colorado and Charlotte earlier in the season. LeBryan Nash scored 20 points, Markel Brown finished with 16 and Smart added 15 for the Cowboys (12-2, 0-1), who were plagued by foul trouble after already missing two of their key players. Michael Cobbins, their best big man, sustained a season-ending Achilles injury on Monday, and freshman guard Stevie Clark -- their second-leading scorer off the bench -- did not play after he was arrested on suspicion of marijuana possession on Wednesday. It was a crippling start to the Big 12 season for Oklahoma State, which is hoping to challenge perennial favourite Kansas for the conference title. But it couldnt have been a much better beginning for the Wildcats, who tied the Jayhawks for the regular-season championship a year ago. The Wildcats, whove made a habit of pummeling opponents during their win streak, tried to wear down the short-handed Cowboys in the first half. They pawed and pressed and got physical with Smart and Nash as much as possible, and both of them were clearly frustrated. Both of them also picked up two fouls late in the first half. Kansas State was unable to take advantage of the brief stretch in which both sat on the bench, though. Foster scored in the waning seconds of the half to put the Wildcats in front, but the Cowboys raced up court and Brown managed to curl in a layup at the buzzer for a 38-37 lead. The senior dished a bit of attitude at the Kansas State student section as he left the floor. Oklahoma State tried to extend the lead early in the second half, and Smarts dunk and foul with about 13 1/2 minutes left provided a cushion. But Smart decided to do a chin-up on the rim and slap the backboard after his slam, and he was hit with a technical -- his fourth foul of the game. While he took a seat, the Wildcats started to gather momentum. Shane Southwell hit a 3 from in front of his own bench to knot the game 52-all with just over 9 minutes left, his first points of the game. A few minutes later, Nash picked up his fourth foul, and Cowboys coach Travis Ford put Smart back in the game. The Wildcats went right at him, and Smart wisely backed down on a couple of occasions to avoid picking up his fifth foul. That allowed the Wildcats to surge ahead, taking a 65-60 lead when Foster slashed through the lane and curled in a layup with 3 1/2 minutes remaining. That matched the biggest lead of the game for either team. Cheap Buccaneers Jerseys China . As head coach of Canadas junior mens national team, Roy Rana has worked with the countrys brightest talent, and having coached the likes of Tristan Thompson and Andrew Wiggins among others, knows what separates the good from the elite. Coincidentally, it only took two summers for Tyler Ennis to prove he could make the jump, during which, Rana witnessed a maturation in the Brampton, Ont. native, that makes his standout play leading the undefeated Syracuse Orange (18-0) a logical progression rather than a surprise. During the 2012 FIBA Americas Under-18 Championship, the 6-foot-2 point guard endured an arduous tournament, struggling in pressure situations. Matchups and defensive schemes posed challenges for Ennis as the Canadian squad had a strong showing, but lost to the host Brazilians 66-62 in the semifinal round. As a result, Rana and his staff talked with Ennis extensively regarding his leadership and need to carry the team. Ennis took the direction and loss to heart and came back a reinvented player the following summer at the FIBA Under-19 World Championship. “It was amazing to see his transformation within that year,” Rana said. “Just how much more confident he was in himself, how much more assertive, how much more of a leader he was. He really started to understand the subtleties of how to impact his teammates.” This time around Ennis was also asked to shoulder Canadas scoring load, something he did effortlessly. Ennis averaged a tournament leading 20.9 points, outscoring projected 2014 NBA lottery picks Marcus Smart, Dante Exum, Dario Saric and Aaron Gordon. By riding that performance into his freshman season at Syracuse he has been a steadying force, toning down his scoring to facilitate the team offence, but also making key baskets when needed. Ennis averages 11.9 points per game and shoots 40 percent from the three-point line and leads the Orange with 5.5 assists and 2.7 steals per (the latter, good for ninth in the nation). His numbers and Syracuses record make a very strong case that Ennis is the best point guard in college basketball right now - regardless of class. Despite his solid stats he maintains the individual numbers and accolades arent his ambition. “I dont really have any personal goals,” Ennis saaid. Cheap 76ers Jerseys Authentic. “I just want us to win the ACC and I know its close to impossible to go undefeated in a college season, but to just get better as a team and lose the least amount of games.” Syracuse has yet to lose and Ennis wont concede a loss to anyone, not even his own family. His older brother Dylan, a sophomore guard for the number four ranked Villanova Wildcats squared off against his younger sibling when both teams met in late December. Tyler was all business in that game scoring 20 points in a 78-62 Syracuse win, but still values the advice his brother gave him on preparing for his first year at the collegiate level. “He always told me to get in the gym by myself and work on my own stuff,” Ennis said. “Just get in the gym as much as possible, while taking care of your body.” Ennis wasnt overlooked coming into the season, but not even the most optimistic experts pegged him as a one-and-done NBA prospect. Ennis had other plans however. “Thats pretty much what I worked for,” he confidently said. “Not to be one, but to just have the opportunity to get to the professional level. Not to leave, but just to have the opportunity.” Still, he hasnt given leaving after his first year any consideration and is only focused on winning games for Syracuse. But ?talent evaluators are starting to take notice that his play to date says first round pick far more than it says first-year student-athlete. “Absolutely, I think hes a one-and-done guy,” Rana said. “Its his choice, does he want to come back for a second year of college, or does he want to go to the NBA? If Im a GM and Im drafting, hes certainly a guy I would be going after pretty hard. Hes going to be a fantastic pro, a great NBA player and whatever organization he goes to, theyre going to be a better organization because of it.” Regardless of his future, Ennis is focused on the madness of March. His maturity, ability to score, pass and affect the game in a myriad of ways is no longer a surprise to anyone. The summer ahead could prove to be even more promising than the last, particularly if he chooses to forego his college eligibility for the NBA Draft, making another jump, this time to the highest level. EDMONTON -- CTV Edmonton is reporting that former Edmonton Oilers owner Peter Pocklington has filed an appeal of his conviction for breach of probation just days before he was to start serving a jail sentence. Cheap NBA Jerseys . It says Pocklingtons lawyer filed the appeal Friday in a California court. CTV Edmonton also says Pocklington gave a $100,000 cash deposit as part of the conditions of his bail, and that he will be out on bail until his appeal is heard. Pocklington was supposed to start serving a six-month jail sentence starting Monday. In September, a judge in Riverside, Calif., sentenced the 71-year-old for violating a term of his probation on a perjury conviction. Court heard that Pocklington had submitted a false monthly income report to his probation officer -- he hadnt adequately disclose a $15,000 consulting fee he received in January 2012. In 2010, the businessman was sentenced to six months of house arrest and two years probation for perjury. He pleaded guilty to the charge and admitted to lying during previous bankruptcy proceedings. In exchange, charges of bankruptcy fraud were dropped. Pocklington filed a bankruptcy claim in 2008 stating he was virtually penniless and owed almost $US20 million. The FBI arrested him at his home in Palm Desert, near Palm Springs, Calif., the following year. In previous court documents, investigators said they believed Pocklington was associated with off-shore companies registered in the Bahamas. In the end, Pocklington admitted in court that he had declared bankruptcy without disclosing that he had control over bank accounts and storage facilities containing assets and property of his wife. Pocklington is most famous for bringing Wayne Gretzky to Edmonton in 1978, then trading the superstar player a decade later to the Los Angeles Kings. Livid hockey fans burned the owner in effigy outside the citys arena. Mired in debt, Pocklington later sold the team to a consortium of local buyers and headed for California. OAKLAND, Calif. Antwaun Woods Jersey . -- After another weird week in a season full of drama, the Golden State Warriors figured winning was the best way to quiet the growing chatter surrounding coach Mark Jacksons job. Klay Thompson scored 33 points, Stephen Curry played through an illness to finish with 31 points and 16 assists, and the Warriors rolled past the Utah Jazz 130-102 Sunday night to keep pace in the Western Conference playoff race. "If you pay attention to the chatter, then you lose sight of whats taking place," Jackson said. "If it was great noise around here, our chatter is irrelevant. The numbers speak for themselves." The Warriors (48-29) eclipsed last seasons win total and moved 19 games over .500 for the first time in 20 years. Golden State remains 1 1/2 games behind fifth-place Portland and 1 1/2 games ahead of seventh-place Dallas in the crammed conference standings. Even in the midst of the franchises best season in two decades, not everything has gone smoothly for the Bay Areas beloved basketball team -- or its coach. The Warriors have parted ways with two of Jacksons assistant coaches in less than two weeks. They fired Darren Erman on Saturday for what the team called "a violation of company policy," and Jackson reassigned Brian Scalabrine to the teams NBA Development League affiliate in Santa Cruz on March 25 because of what Jackson called a "difference in philosophies." For at least one night, though, Jacksons players put the focus back on the court. The Warriors scored more points than they had all season, made a season-high 17 3-pointers on 33 attempts and outshot Utah 57.8 per cent to 45.3 per cent from the floor. Center Andrew Bogut, who had missed the past four games with a bruise in his pelvis and groin area, also returned to finish with six points and 11 rebounds in 23 minutes. "There have been some things that happened off the floor that happen in all professional organizations," Bogut said. "Its obviously none of your business, none of the fans business, no ones business outside of our organization. Its a team thing that stays in house. Were still winning games." Playing against the Western Conferences worst team certainly helped. Trey Burke had 24 points and 15 assists, and Alec Burks added 24 points and five assists in the latest lopsided loss for the Jazz (24-53), who are just trying to finish out the season on a positive note. Instead, they let two of the leagues streakiest shooters get loose. "Curry and Thompson got hot early. They got open looks," Jazz coach Tyrone Corbin said. "Curry came out with the intent of getting them up early and he made shots." The shooting display came after Jackson spent about 15 minutes before the game defending the job he has done, saying theres "no friction at all" between him and management. He also said "Im absolutely convinced my future is just fine." The scintillating shooting display by Jacksons guard duo, which he has repeatedly proclaimed the "greatest shooting backcourt in NBA history," quickly put the Warriors on firm footing. Curry, who said he has been battling a cold, made his first four 3-pointers and finished with 16 points and six assists in the first quarter to give Golden State a 35-22 lead. After the Warriors went ahead 40-22 early in the second quarter, Utah took advantage of several misses and mistakes by Golden States second unit to score 13 straight points. Curry and Co. returned and restored order, ending the half with a 66-52 lead. Curry had 20 points and 11 assists at the break; Utah totalled 10 as a team during that span. "Its tough, man," Burks said. "I guarded both of them. Theyre great players and they can really shoot." Thompson and Curry continued their scoring surge in the third quarter to lift the Warriors ahead 101-73 through three quarters. Both sat out the fourth. Thompson finished 11 of 20 from the floor, including 7 of 10 from 3-point range. Curry shot 12 of 18 from the field and 5 of 10 from beyond the arc. NOTES: Warriors PF David Lee sat out for the sixth straight game with nerve inflammation in his right leg, and his status remains murky. ... The last time the Warriors were 19 games over .500 was when they held a 50-31 record near the end of the 1993-94 season. They finished 50-32. ... The Warriors swept the season series (4-0) against the Jazz for the first time. ... Golden State doesnt play again until hosting Denver on Thursday, while the Jazz face Dallas on Tuesday in Utah. Cheap Cowboys Jerseys . The Mavericks avoided a season sweep by the Nuggets, who ran away with a win in Denver two weeks ago to hand Dallas its longest losing streak at three games. Dallas (42-28) got a boost in the playoff race when Miami rallied from seven down in the last 3 1/2 minutes to beat Memphis 91-86 Friday night. Kyle Queiro Jersey .Currently no, Tatjana Haenni, FIFAs deputy director of the competitions division and head of womens competitions, said Tuesday in an interview from Ottawa. http://www.cheapcowboysjerseyschina.com/connor-williams-jersey/ .C. -- The Carolina Hurricanes used a strong third period to extend their winning streak to three games.St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) - Mattias Ekholm scored the game-winning goal 1:45 into overtime to lift the Nashville Predators to a 6-5 victory over the Minnesota Wild on Saturday. An extra session was needed after Minnesota pulled its netminder and Thomas Vanek tied the game with 47.8 seconds remaining. The Predators, however, did not let the two points slip away. Ekholm battled along the boards behind the Minnesota net, emerged with the puck and scored off a wrister from the right circle for the win. I was just trying to spin in front of the net and get a shot off, Ekholm said. It wasnt the hardest, but it went in so its huge. Craig Smith, Matt Cullen and Roman Josi each had a goal and an assist, while Calle Jarnkrok and Filip Forsberg also lit the lamp for the Predators, who have won four of their last five games. Pekka Rinne earned the win despite allowing a season-high five goals on 27 shots. Zach Parise finished with two goals and an assist in defeat. Vanek and Marco Scandella each tallied a goal and a helper and Jason Zucker also scored for the Wild, who dropped their third straight game. Its clearly not good enough, Wild head coach Mike Yeo said. You score five goals it should be automatic. Niklas Backstrom gave up three goals on 30 shots in relief of Darcy Kuemper, who stopped 11-of-14 shots during the first period. The Predators took a 4-3 lead 1:48 into the third period. Forsbergs initial shot deflected off Wild defenseman Ryan Suter. The rookie followed his rebound off the end boards and wristed a shot past the glove of Backstrom. Josis blast from the top of the left circle beat Backstrom on the power play to providee some breathing room for the Predators close to the midway point of the final stanza, but the Wild did not go away. Chidobe Awuzie Jersey. . Pominville sent a hard low shot on net and Parise was present in the slot to redirect it past Rinne for a 5-4 game with 9:14 remaining. The Wild pulled Backstrom with less than a minute to play. Rinne stopped Vaneks initial deflection of a Scandella blast, but couldnt control the rebound as the Wild tied the game with 47.8 seconds to play. Minnesota scored just 1:10 into the game on Zuckers quick shot, but Jarnkrok answered right back with a wrister of his own at 4:37. Two minutes later, Rinne stopped Charlie Coyles backhander from the slot, but the rebound bounced off Parises skate and into the back of the net to give the Wild a 2-1 edge. Victor Bartley skated below the goal line and slipped the puck to Cullen, who wristed the shot over Kuempers shoulder in tight for a tied score at 13:58 and Smiths backhander off a faceoff put the Predators up 3-2 with 1:46 to play in the first. The Wild took advantage of Mike Fishers double-minor high-sticking penalty. Scandella made it a 3-3 game after video replay confirmed that his rebound attempt crossed the goal line at 7:18 of the second. The Wild make another attempt at their first victory of the season without their No. 1 goaltender. Niklas Backstrom was hurt in Tuesdays 3-2 loss to Nashville, suffering a right knee sprain in the first period. He had allowed two goals on five shots before the Predators Eric Nystrom was hauled down from behind by defenseman Keith Ballard, with both skaters skidding through the crease and into Backstrom. Josh Harding came on in relief and the first action he saw was Nystroms penalty shot. He was unable to come up with the save on the eventual game- winner. "You have to be ready. You have to know, going into every game, that theres a chance you could play in it. I should be ready for whatever happens during the game," said Harding, who ended with 19 saves. Zach Parise and Jared Spurgeon scored for the Wild, who had lost a pair of post-regulation home games before the setback to the Predators. They are off to their worst start since beginning the 2000-01 season, the Wilds first in the NHL, 0-4 with a tie. "Weve got to find a way to win," Ballard said. After the Penguins defeat in Game 6, it was reported that the teams principle owner and former captain, Mario Lemieux, came down to the locker room to calm the 26-year-old captain down. Discount Air Max 90 Sale . During their talk, Lemieux was reported to have discussed with Crosby how a captains erratic behaviour can negatively impact the team.Lemieuex told Crosby... "You cant behave the way you did at the end of the game, it gives off a bad vibe to your teammates, it gives off a vibe that might be portraying you in a negative light, especially when youre struggling."Lemieux followed that up with a statement that Crosby has most likely understood since the first time he stepped foot onto an NHL rink. "..star players just have to fight through things like this"Super Mario has been Sidney Crosbys mentor ever since the Penguins selected him first overall in 2005, and he certainly can empathize with the Penguins current captain on what it feels like when emotions get the best of a player during a heated contest.Theres no better example of Lemieux letting his emotions get the better of him than during this bout between him and then referee, Kerry Fraser. The incident started when Lemieux received a high-sticking penalty, and while he sat in the box Fraser skated over and shared a few words that sent the Penguins captain into an uncontrollable rage. Lemieux shot out of the penalty box towards Fraser before being restrained by teammates and promptly sent to the dressing rooms with a game-misconduct penalty. The 1993-94 season was a trying one for Lemieux, just one year removed from announcing he had been diagnosed with Hodgkins lymphoma while also coming off of an off-season surgery to fix a herniated muscle in his back. The injury to his back caused Lemieux to miss fifty-eight games that season and his mounting frustration with his injuries began to show, especially in his incident with Fraser. There was another occurrence earlier in Lemieuxs career where he let his frustration boil over, one that would serve Crosby as a sobering reminder of what can happen when a star player picks a fight with the wrong guy. During a regular season game between the Capitals and Penguins, an irritated Lemieux engaged in a shoving match with Bob Gould that turned into a fist fight. The end result? A broken Jaw for Lemieux and a night spent at George Washington University Hospital.Crosby definitely already knows what it feels like to have a broken jaw, and were sure it wasnt too enjoyable. The last thing the Penguins need in Game 7 is their captain engaging in unnecessary fights. So, to Sid the Kid, it may be best to take Lemieuxs advice, as he certainly knows what happens when keeping it real goes wrong. Cheap Air Max 90 Free Shipping . Their fierce rivalry often produces clashes off the field, too, and only 400 Lyon fans will travel to the Geoffroy-Guichard Stadium on Sunday night.Unbeaten in seven matches in all competitions, Les Verts will be seeking their first home win in the topflight against Lyon in 20 years. Here are some things to know ahead of this weekends matches:___STRATEGIC HEADACHEThe appointment of Marcelo Bielsa as Marseille coach has been decisive in the teams resurgence this season.Lacking the millions invested in Paris Saint-Germain by its Qatari owners, the Argentine coach is compensating with strong discipline and astute strategic decisions. This season, Marseille played most of his games in a 3-3-3-1 system, with striker Andre-Pierre Gignac scoring 11 of his teams 30 goals. Ahead of Nantes visit to the Stade Velodrome on Friday, Bielsa is thinking about starting with two strikers, Gignac and Michy Batshuayi. The problem is when you play with two No. 9s, one of them has to play further down the pitch and on the sides, Bielsa said. And he will play worse than usual. On the other hand, it can happen that the addition of the two has a positive impact on the teams overall performance. The former Argentina coach said that this aspect of the game has been troubling him for years.I started to think about it 15 years ago, when I had (Hernan) Crespo and (Gabriel) Batistuta under me, Bielsa said. Its not an easy decision to take.___LILLE IN CRISISWith only three more points than the relegation-threatened teams and the worse offensive record in the leaague, Lille is in tatters. I hope this break will have done us some good because the last month and a half has been very difficult, Lille midfielder Rio Mavuba said. The problem for Lille, which is also involved in a tiring Europa League campaign and claimed only one win in its last 12 matches, is that the club is now facing a run of tough encounters before the winter break. First comes a trip to Bordeaux on Sunday before matches with leader Paris Saint-Germain and rival Lens in the northern derby.I think we can come through this run of games better off than we were before, Mavuba said. At the moment I am not worried but we know it will be difficult.___KURZAWAS BOTCHED TRIPHighly-praised Monaco left back Layvin Kurzawa could hit the Premier League sooner than expected. The 22-year-old France international travelled to Manchester earlier this week to attend Citys Champions League match against Bayern Munich as a guest of the English champions. But according to LEquipe newspaper, a last-minute intervention from his club prevented him from watching the game form the stands and Kurzawa saw on it on TV in a hotel room.Kurzawa did not play in Monacos 1-0 win at Bayer Leverkusen and will not make the squad for Saturdays match at Rennes because of a hamstring injury that will sideline him until January.___MOTTA AND SILVA BACKAfter sitting out PSGs 3-1 win against Ajax in Champions League because of leg injuries, Thiago Silva and Thiago Motta returned to training ahead of Saturdays game against Nice.Mottas return will bring some relief to coach Laurent Blanc after his teams frailties in midfield were exposed against the Dutch side.Thats the second time weve been behind (Ajax) in terms of possession. ANAHEIM, Calif. Cheap Real Ray Bans . -- A second straight complete game was not needed from C.J. Wilson, who had enough offensive and defensive support from his teammates to make working into the seventh enough. Mike Trout homered and threw out a runner at third base to complete an inning-ending double play, Chris Iannetta also went deep, and the Los Angeles Angels beat the punchless Kansas City Royals 6-1 Friday night. Wilson (6-3) allowed a run and four hits, struck out three and walked four in 6 1-3 innings. The left-hander also hit two batters, including leadoff man Nori Aoki with his 105th and final pitch. "He was swinging at everything, and I didnt want him to hit another little blooper," Wilson said. "So I wanted to throw a pitch that he was going to have to challenge him to swing hard at. It was up and in, and he stands completely over the plate. I would have tried to get out of the way." Aoki had two singles and a double, while the rest of the Royals offence produced just two hits. "Youre not going to score many runs when you get five hits on the night, and three are from one guy," manager Ned Yost said. Wilson, coming off a 127-pitch shutout against Tampa Bay last Saturday, threw fewer than 111 pitches for the first time in 10 starts this season. "Its frustrating. You make a lot of good pitches and they keep fouling them off. But you have to give them credit for working my pitch count up," he said. Sean Burnett retired Eric Hosmer on a grounder to second base for the final out of the seventh, after Kevin Jepsen relieved Wilson and struck out Alcides Escobar. It was Burnetts first appearance on a major league mound since May 26, 2013 after undergoing surgery on Aug. 7 to repair a torn flexor tendon in his left elbow. "From an emotional standpoint, were all rooting for him," Wilson said. "Its tough for a guy whos been working hard and has had more setbacks after almost a year. We need him, because he can be really effective." The Angels won for the 11th time in 14 games and are a season-best seven games over .500. Danny Duffy (2-4) gave up five runs and nine hits over six innings in his fourth start since he began filling in for Bruce Chen, who has a sore back. The 25-year-old left-hander was coming off a 1-0 victory against Baltimore in which he retired his first 20 batters. "I probably could have mixed it up a little better, but I got lazy on a couple of off-speed pitches and I paid the price," Duffy said. The Angels took a 2-1 lead in the second when Iannetta hit his fourth homer of the season with one out and No. 9 hitter Collin Cowgill hit a two-out RBI single. Royals centre fielder Lorenzo Cain robbed David Freese of a three-run homer in the seventh before C.J. Cron followed with an RBI single for the Angels to make it 6-1. Trout gave Wilson a little more breathing room with his ninth home run leading off the third. The Angels extended the margin to 5-1 in the sixth on Eric Aybars RBI single and a run-scoring double by Grant Green. The Royals were trailing 3-1 in the fifth when Aoki led off with a double. He tried to tag up on Hosmers one-out flyball to centre and was thrown out as Freese took Trouts throw on the fly and slapped the tag on Aoki. "Thats not a good chance he took right there," Yost said. "You never want to make the third out. We had Billy (Butler) coming up. Trout has a 70 arm, and when he catches the ball, you dont challenge in that situation." Alex Gordon opened the scoring with a two-out run-scoring single. NOTES: In his six starts at the "Big A" this season, Wilson has allowed only one home run -- a solo shot by Seattles Brad Miller on April 1. ... Angels hitting coach Don Baylor, who hasnt been in uniform since breaking his right leg while catching a ceremonial first pitch from Vladimir Guerrero on opening night, stopped by the ballpark and said his rehab is progressing well. He is hoping to return to the dugout and the batting cages sometime before the All-Star break. ... Burnett was coming off a six-game rehab assignment with Double-A Arkansas. Kevin Martin and Kevin Love paced the Timberwolves like they do so often. Martin had 27 points with some key baskets down the stretch, Love had his usual double-double, and the Timberwolves snapped a three-game losing streak with a 112-106 victory Saturday night over the suddenly slipping Dallas Mavericks.ENGLEWOOD, Colo. -- Though his physical condition is no longer a big question mark for Peyton Manning, when he looks around at training camp, he must feel like hes starting over again. Manning lined up for his first snaps Thursday behind an offensive line that has been shuffled, in front of a running back who took only about 25 per cent of the snaps last year and looking down the line at some pass catchers, who 12 months ago, were either bit players or playing somewhere else. The quarterback who thrived on the familiarity of playing with the same receivers -- Reggie Wayne and Marvin Harrison -- same tight end -- Dallas Clark -- and same running backs -- either Edgerrin James or Joseph Addai -- year after year in Indianapolis, is now having to adjust to a revamped offensive roster to start his third year in Denver. Bottom line: "Just because you did certain things last year means nothing as far as this upcoming season," Manning said. "Ive always felt the NFL does not owe you anything." But even by an NFL rosters constantly shuffling standards, the Broncos did some major reorganizing around their franchise quarterback -- the 43-8 loss to Seattle in the Super Bowl exposing too many problems for the AFC champions to stand pat. The line will be different with the return of Ryan Clady at left tackle and the shifting of Orlando Franklin, who had a poor Super Bowl, from right tackle to left guard. Montee Ball will replace Knowshon Moreno at running back. Meanwhile, Emmanuel Sanders replaces Eric Decker at receiver. And just to accentuate the feel Thursday, former No. 5 receiver Andre Caldwell was getting reps in place of Demaryius Thomas, who was excused to attend his grandmothers funeral. "Were certainly looking for continuity and chemistry with the new players,&quoot; Manning said. Air Jordan 1 Australia. "Every year you have to establish that particular teams identity. Were in the process of doing that right now." John Elway, who put this roster together, said he hopes part of the new identity will take some of the focus off Manning, much the same way he became less of a focal point in his final years, which produced his two Super Bowl wins. "I think that weve got to get to be where were a complete football team," Elway said. "We cant rely on 18 to win it because he cant win it by himself." While Elway was talking more about his off-season revamp of the defence, he has also been making plenty of moves to shore up the parts around Manning, who set records for yards (5,477) and touchdowns (55) last season and also won his fifth Most Valuable Player Award. Ball, last years second-round pick, is viewed as a long-term prospect at running back. The Broncos spent this years second-round pick on receiver Cody Latimer, in the hopes hell be catching passes from Manning and his successor for years to come. In practice Thursday, Manning looked often toward tight end Julius Thomas, the 6-foot-5, 250-pound pass catcher with whom the Broncos are hoping to sign a long-term contract extension. "An important part of the team this year," Manning called him. And a familiar one -- something Manning almost certainly didnt think hed be searching for this hard come Year 3 with the Broncos. "Thats probably the worst thing about football, is when you lose great players from the previous year, who are also great guys," Manning said. "Well certainly miss guys like Eric and Knowshon -- guys youve played in a lot of big games with, guys you put a lot of sweat and work in with in this facility and this weight room. "But its an opportunity for other guys to step up."
